Description
Delicious Fresh Peach Fritters are a warm, fluffy summer treat packed with juicy peaches and coated in sweet cinnamon sugar—perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 medium fresh peaches, peeled and diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (plus extra for dusting)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
1. Prepare the peaches by washing, peeling, and dicing them into bite-sized chunks.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
3. In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the milk. Pour this mixture into dry ingredients and stir until just combined; keep the batter slightly lumpy.
4. Gently fold in the diced peach pieces.
5. Heat about two inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
7. Remove fritters and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while still warm.
Notes
Use ripe but firm peaches for best texture and flavor.
Do not overmix the batter; lumps help keep the fritters light and fluffy.
Maintain oil temperature to avoid greasy fritters—around 350°F is ideal.
Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
