Ingredients
- For the Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper

- 1 lb baby gold potatoes, quartered
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 onion, diced

- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter or cooking spray
Instructions
1. Cut large squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil (12–14 inches) and grease the center with butter or cooking spray
2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with dry onion soup mix, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well mixed
3. Place the beef mixture in the center of each foil square
4. Top with potatoes, carrots, and diced onions
5. Fold and seal the foil tightly into packets so no steam escapes
6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and place packets on a baking sheet
7. Bake for 45 minutes until the meat is fully cooked and vegetables are tender
8. Carefully open packets to release steam and serve
Notes
You can substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option
Swap potatoes for sweet potatoes or add other root vegetables like parsnips
Seal foil packets tightly to trap steam and ensure even cooking
